2024 Special Guests

The Cinematheque had the good fortune of hosting a number of special guests this year. Try as they might, nary a one managed to refuse my request for a photo staged in front of our cinéma sign! (The sign’s lettering, it bears reminding, is modelled after Jean-Luc Godard’s iconic typography, making the juxtaposition of it and longtime Godard collaborator Fabrice Aragno especially gratifying.)

A heartfelt thanks to all those filmmakers, curators, and scholars who set aside time in your busy schedules to visit our cinema, talk about art, and yes, endure my obnoxious photo ops. —Shaun
