A provocative essay film asking various femmes françaises to answer the question, What does it mean to be a woman?” An exploration of religious architecture in Isfahan, Iran, through the eyes of two characters (Suzanne and her lover Darius) from Varda’s 1977 feature One Sings, the Other Doesn’t.
