Denmark

High-powered lawyer Anne shares with her Swedish husband Peter, a prominent doctor, a comfortable lifestyle in Copenhagen raising twin girls. All seems fine, but their relationship is brittle, cushioned by privilege but fragile somehow. Things change utterly when Gustav, Peter’s troubled teenaged son from his first marriage, moves in. He’s been expelled from both his school and his mother’s home in Sweden and is a bit lost in life. While his father remains distant, Anne, whose law practice specializes in youth in crisis cases, decides she will actively engage with Gustav and help him rebuild his life and his confidence. This well-intentioned gesture leads both Anne and Gustav into dangerous, uncharted territory which will soon threaten the entire household. Powerful. Provocative.
